Day 1 > Tirane

Arrival at the Airport. On arrival encounter with the local guide who will assist during the whole tour. Transfer to hotel in the city center. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon, a comprehensive sightseeing tour of the city is provided including a visit to the mosque of Et’hem Bey and the Clock Tower, the highest and most ancient symbol of the city, built between 1819 and 1822. Visit of National Historical Museum that trace Albania's history back to ancient times. The city is rich of trendy bars and restaurants, art galleries and cultural centers. Tirana lies along the river Ishem and is also the main political, commercial, industrial and cultural center of the country. It boasts a millennial history, as revealed by its numerous archaeological sites, despite its official foundation was done in relatively short time. Dinner with authentic folk dance show in a restaurant. Overnight in a 4* hotel in Tirana.

 

Day 2 > Tirana > Kruje > Shkoder >Tirane (200 km)

Breakfast at the hotel.  Continuation to Kruja, ancient capital of Albania and a symbol of anti-Ottoman resistance. Kruja is a beautiful medieval town located 20 km in the northwest of Albania’s capital and is famous for its fortress where the The National Museum Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu was build; an institution dedicated to chronicling and honoring his life. Visit of another popular site, a restored house from the Ottoman era that is now the Ethnographic Museum. After the visit, walking tour through the old bazaar, one of the country's places full of traditional souvenirs. Lunch in a restaurant in the center of Kruja. Departure to Shkoder.  Shkoder is a picturesque city in northwestern Albania that lies on the shores of Lake of Shkodra, often known as the “Florence of the Balkans”. The symbol monument of the city is the castle of Rozafa, located on a hill at the gates of the city. After visiting the beautiful Castle of Rozafa a walking tour of the fascinating promenade in the old town center. Dinner in a restaurant with spectacular view and great traditional food.  After dinner, continuation towards Tirana. Overnight in a 4* hotel.

 

Day 3 >Tirane > Berat > Apollonia > Fier (170 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. The itinerary leads towards Berat, a beautiful city-museum, also known as the "city of a thousand windows", due to the hundreds of windows that are placed one above the other. Berat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its beautifully preserved Ottoman architecture; this coupled with its idyllic locale on the banks of the Osumi River make it one of Albania’s must-see destinations. It features a castle, locally known as the Kala, most of which was built in the 13th century, although its origins date back to the 4th century BC. Visit of the castle and of the famous National Iconographic Museum ONUFRI. A brief city tour of Berat. Lunch in restaurant. Continuation to Apollonia. Visit of this ancient city that hosts one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. Continuation to the city of Fier. Dinner and overnight at a 4* hotel.

 

Day 4 > Fier > Gjirokaster > Butrint > Sarande (230 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Gjirokater. Upon arrival a panoramic tour of the city which includes the Castle and the National Museum of Weapons and also Old Town walking tour. The city is a true open-air museum, also known as "The Stone City" because of the fortified houses without balconies, but rich in finely crafted windows. The city can be considered the wonderful result of the meeting of Greek, Roman, Byzantine Turkish and Albanian cultures, for its unique characteristics, and its historical and architectural value. Since 2005 is part of UNESCO World Heritage. Lunch in restaurant. After lunch continuation towards Butrint. Butrint is located in the south of Saranda overlooking the crystalline waters of the Ionian Sea, just a few kilometers from the island of Corfu and close to the Greek border. Butrint is a rich heritage of humanity and is protected from UNESCO. The present archaeological site is a repository of ruins representing each period in the city’s development.Visit of the city and of its Greek and Roman remains, of the ancient theater, church and museum. Continuation towards Saranda. Dinner in restaurant and overnight in a 4* hotel.       

 

Day 5 > Sarande > Corfu > Sarande (70 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a One Day Tour to Corfu. Time for relax for the part of the group that won’t be part of one day tour. After the tour to Corfu the group will join the rest for dinner at the hotel. Overnight in a 4* hotel in Saranda.

 

Day 6 > Sarande

Breakfast at the hotel.  Time at disposal for the guests to enjoy the beach. Lunch at restaurant. Dinner in restaurant. Overnight in a 4* hotel in Saranda.

 

Day 7 > Ksamil > Sarande (15 km)

Day 8 > Sarande >Blue Eye > Tirane (310 km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Tirana. On the way a stop for a visit at the beautiful Blue Eye, a karstic spring that owes its name to the turquoise color of its waters.
